Please chance! Michigan State University

Hello!

I am a Senior in the upper peninsula of Michigan and Michigan State University is my top choice for college. I would just like to get some ideas from people who have similar scores to me, or people who have been accepted and know the chances better.
I am also going to be a first generation college student and have expressed my interest to them by going to a green and white day, asking them questions through their admissions email, and engaging with them on social media.

Grades:
I have a 3.75 GPA I have had above a 4.0 for all quarters junior year.
Top 20% of my class
Scored an 1100 on the SAT (out of 1600)
Sophomore year- AP US History and Honors English
Junior Year- AP Economics/Government and Honors English Lit
I also took a dual enrollment Interpersonal Communications class through Bay College.
senior schedule- computer accounting, careers in education, intro to business(bay college) principles of management (bay college), art 1, and english 12

EC’s:
3 years of Varsity swim + got a varsity letter (not including senior year)
National Honor Society Member with over 40+ hours of community service
Member of S.A.D.D.
Received an academic “E” of excellence from the Academic Booster Club
I am a student lifeguard of three years, along with CPR, AED, and Waterfront lifeguarding skills
2 years of Glee Club.

Any help you guys can offer will be greatly appreciated, also do you know when they start going over applications?

Hi there, I am a current student at MSU and I think that your chances are decent but the only concern is your SAT as it is at the very low end of what they typically accept. However, I think your other credentials should outweigh that. As for admissions, it is rolling admissions so they are continuously looking over applications. I applied in early October and got accepted early December so it could take a little while but you should be fun! Best of luck and go green!

There was a kid from my school that got in with a 3.0. You’ll be fine. MSU lets some bricks in.
