Please chance my admissions to Northeastern University

Hello! My dream school is Northeastern University, and although I am a high school junior, here is what I have:

GPA: 3.57 weighted (I wasn’t the best student during my freshman and sophomore years, although I am still constantly battling to raise my grades)
SAT: 1730-- I will not be sending this score in, as I am choosing to use my ACT score instead…
ACT: 32 out of 36

Now for the AP classes and scores…

  1. AP Human Geography (Freshman)
    Final Grade: 79
    AP Test Score: 3
  2. AP Psychology (Sophomore)
    Final Grade: 84
    AP Test Score: 3
  3. AP United States History (Sophomore)
    Final Grade: 82
    AP Test Score: 2 (It was a VERY hard exam for me…)
  4. AP Government & Politics (Junior- my current year)
    Current Grade: 89
    AP Test Score: Shooting for a 4 or a 5
  5. AP European History (Junior- my current year)
    Current Grade: 88
    AP Test Score: Shooting for a 4

If this helps, I’m also taking AP Microeconomics and AP Calculus AB next year…

Now for my extracurricular s…
I am an Eagle Scout for the Boy Scouts of America (dorky, but I enjoy it). Anyways, here are my activities year-by-year:

-Freshman year:

  5. Swimming and Diving VARSITY

I also performed in a live-action performance in front of 15,000 people at MSU this past summer as a major character in a theater production…

I have planned a volunteer trip to South America for this upcoming summer in which I will be teaching little kids how to speak English…

I am also attending a summer program for effective writing and creative writing (hopefully, still waiting for my letter of acceptance…)

And most importantly…
I AM KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH NEU ADMISSIONS

Do you all think I have a shot at getting in when I apply Early Decision next year? Hoping to major in Business with a concentration in Communications, and hoping to minor in Entrepreneurship…

Honestly, most schools don’t care if you keep in touch with admissions. They already have too much to do. Your ACT is good, but your grades are not good enough to get you in. I don’t think you get in. You just don’t seem to have good enough grades.

Whether or not you stay in contact with admissions won’t really help you your gpa is too low to make northeastern likely they’re getting more competitive every year and with your current gpa I’d say there’s a low chance you get in ED at best you’ll probably be deferred but even then due to the competitiveness it’ll be an uphill battle.
