him getting in doesn’t mean he is legit, there is no way his stats are real, he is a liar and doesn’t deserve huntsman.

Waittt kardia dyu know him personally or just after yu got into huntsman? are yu huntsman ED or RD?

I know him through Facebook, we’ve talked quite a bit. I didn’t apply Huntsman, I’m Wharton.

Oh ok cool.

ohk i just read this thread fully. till now i had just read a few posts while skipping the long ones. andd firstly, give this guy a break. im not saying that the stuff he’s written in this threads like a 100% truthful. Heck, ive just spoken to him a few times and donno anything specific abt him at all. but after reading all the posts here its sickening the way uve got him down! comeon, tell me something srsly dyu actually think that the admissions officer missed out something that you guys ddnt or something. i mean the admissions officers are professionals man so they would have definitely not allowed him in without being certain thats hes not lying abt stuff and especially if hes sending recommenrdations from all his internships. also, this post was written by him approx 9 mths before his actual application! maybe he learnt from the mistake of possible exaggeration through his experiences on CC or otherwise. you never know what all he actually wrote on his application so u never can state that he ddnt deserve the spot cause thats insulting not only to the him but also the program coz im sure that the adcoms would have seen right through his apparent exaggerations if he would have lied. all he did was come on this forum for support.

i completely agree with most of you guys that his credentials seem too good to be fully true (though its possible they are true). but instead of giving advice reflecting the actual purpose of the thread and overall usage of CC u guys bashed him so bad that apparently he has left! i mean im sure many could have told him that this is too good to be true or just that the adcoms will definitely not allow u so get ur act together or atleast let him explain how he did so much as a junior (again i dont fully doibt his credentials). but instead someone brought out his actual name and humiliated him completely. comeon guys everyone knows that its not correct to use someones actual name on these threads thats basic sense and the lack of such a common sense and principle can be seen by many as good a reason for not getting into a penn as posting apparent exaggerations on a forum (we still dont know if he actually spoke abt all the same stuff in his aactual application!). maybe he did get some of the internships as codemonkeys friend did its a possibility right and as far as i can see the ‘im unfortunately asian (chinese)’ is also no ways a reason to laugh at him. ive seen it hundreds of times on CC itself that ppl telling the OP- ‘sadly ur asian which will definitely hurt you’ and that ONLY applies in terms of chances not actual discrimination.

AGAIN while i agree that it seems veryy veryyy difficult to participate in all these activities simultaneously (i definitely cannot manage it!) maybe he spread the activities over 2 yrs or didnt do them simultaneously. like for example its possible that he didnt do hilite and key club and deca together which gives him more time.

however, yeah stuff like massive eye bags is weird and freaky but thats his life and we can help him get a hold of it!

i hope u guys get my drift. i certainly dont think that he could have done all of this and mostly parts of it are made up for sure but also we have no actual confirmation that he actually used all the details provided here for his penn application and thus cannot state if he deserves it or not. thats what i think. maybe as 1232cricket said, the OP calculated stuff and made his application more acceptable. still not full deserving i agreee but we dont actually know what he did right!

-akki

Hmm interesting Kardia. I never got anything from this kid on facebook group. Although, since I too am an Indiana resident, that may have had to do something with it.

Although… there was a dude with Chinese name (and a picture that totally contradicted both) in Carmel network in the group. Am I thinking of the right person?

Okay, I exaggerated about him adding EVERYBODY, lol, but I think he has hundreds of friends from the Penn 2014 group…

Yes, I think you are thinking of the right person, it’s probably him, though I don’t know what you mean by the contradicting part… You can just look at the Huntsman page (unofficial one) and I’m sure he’s got an introduction post there too.

not gonna bother read the whole thread. Just noticed
Talked to my regional director of admissions and specifically asked him if they check kids for lying. He told me they don’t have the resources to do that. Exact language - no inferences.

Kid 2 years before me got in as president of cricket club. We don’t have a cricket club. Enough said…

^Lol.

I hate this kid with a burning passion. His patheticness just boils my blood

He’s already into Huntsman. At this point whether he lied or not on his application is moot.

If he is for real, then he deserves what he has achieved. If not, he’ll get screwed over by his Wharton classmates.

Either scenario, everything will turn out as it should in the end.

I cannot agree more with RAlec114. And I feel extremely sorry for the applicant whose spot
was stolen by this pathetic liar.

@Enigma_solved I think we already established that this kid lied at least once in every one of his posts in this thread. As well, any clear-minded person would notice the ridiculous total number of hours this kid claimed that he had done. It’s not a matter of ‘if’, he clearly lied in this thread and on his college applications and therefore did not deserve a spot at Huntsman(or any college at all). I certainly hope his future prospect employers can see through him.

@geekorathletic: yeah that’s him.
