Rank 4/270 (w), 1/270 (uw)
SAT- 2280 Math-800, CR-740, W-740
National Merit Semi-Finalist
4 years Varsity Soccer, plus 4 years Club Soccer
3 years varsity Track and Field
Winner of several regional Math and Science Competitions
National Honor Society
1 major project where he led an effort (with another student) to create and send holiday care packages to troops in Afghanistan
Very weak on other community service, some volunteering at local library
Avid, self-taught piano player (will write about that on his essays)</p>

<p>Your son can get automatic admission to both UT and A&M simply based on his class rank.
I’m not sure about Georgia Tech, but he seems like he would have no problem getting into Rice </p>

<p>i’m sorry…I forgot to mention he is a resident of PA. I thought automatic admission for Texas A&M and UT were for Texas residents only?</p>

<p>Yes auto admit is only for Texas. I think your son has a good chance of getting into Rice(50%). Definitely UT material for sure admitted!</p>
