Hello everyone! Today I visited Emory and it's definitely "the college". I didn't think I would have that feeling but I've never felt so sure about anything in my life. Of course, now I'm stressing that my application may not be strong enough. Here's my comprehensive summary:

Essay: I was told my common app essay was great and creative, my supplemental essay I feel confident in as well

Recommendations: got them from my band director/AP music theory teacher and my French teacher. I'm confident they are good as well.

Midyear report: 6 A's, one B, but overall these grades brought my GPA up to. 3.79

Talked with an advisor for Emory and filled out an interest form when he visited my school

Regular decision applicant

Thank you if you have gotten to is point and actually read my entire summary. Some feedback would be appreciated! I will chance you back asap! :)

I also forgot to mention I was emailed by Emory asking to do an interview which will be this Saturday. I’m confident in my interviewing skills so assume it went well.

Furthermore, I apologize for grammar and capitalization (Esp the title!). I’m typing on my iPad.

Although your ACT score is a bit low for Emory (imo), you definitely make up for it with your EC’s, GPA, and curriculum.

Your application is obviously very strong and if your guidance counselor is right you definitely shouldn’t lose sleep. Looks to me after the interview if all goes well you will be accepted.

Chance back please!

I forgot to mention I’m on the varsity Tennis team (junior- senior year)

Bump. Anyone? Please?

I think you have a good shot and especially helps a lot that Emory favors your school. If you have a good interview i think your numbers look good enough that they will accept you. The GPA and all the EC’s are to your advantage since your ACT is in the lower half of their average. Good Luck on your interview. Can you chance my thread-- Parent Alumni Help Chances?

you going to chance mine?

I think you have a great shot at Emory. Really strong application. You have no problems. Good luck.
