I travel a lot. I've lived in 3 different countries...

I know my grades are low. but will my EC's make up for it?

applying RD

please please please chance me

Apply. If you don’t, they can’t admit you.

Good luck!

Thanks Antarius.
However, I just want to have an idea of whether or not Rice is way too out of my league.

Rice is a hard to get into across the board. Your stats put you in contention. Make sure that the rest of your app is good (recos, essays etc.) and present the strongest case possible.

Bumping up the ACT won’t hurt either.

Reach.

However, Knock the essay out of the park and show that you want to be here. Then interview well and you could very well get in. It won’t be easy, but it’s possible.

You have an interesting background and Rice likes diversity… but I don’t answer chance threads. Apply and good luck! ;)
