Your chances and advice would be truly appreciated.

Where d you rank, official or not? Read this year’s results for your schools. You may want to add some less selective schools, you’re in an incredibly competitive pool coming from NJ.

My school does not rank for some reason.

I would say I am the top 10 percent of my class, and by the end of junior I should be part of the top 5%.

please chance. will chance back   :)

Avg. GPA at Penn is about 3.9 (yours translates to 3.76), so it is a little low. SATs are fine. With all these business clubs, are you applying to Wharton? Overall, if you have good essays, you’ll have a good chance at Penn, but it might be better to wait for RD to get your GPA up

Please guys!!!

Help me out. This means so much to me. will chance back.             :)

Dude i think youve got a great shot at Upenn! which upenn school will you be applying to? with all your business stuff i think you will appeal to wharton

Thanks @a2014tdlax

I am not sure right now. Penn has everything I want, and will allow me to explore every field I like. You really think I have a great shot? I value honesty above anything else.

I think applying to UPenn ED gives you a much better chance of acceptance. Your ECs are pretty solid too and your SAT score is slightly lower than “normal”. Nevertheless, I would give you a good shot of getting in ED, RD it would be much more difficult.
Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1282445-chance-mit-other-schools.html</a></p>

i think if you apply ed, you will get in. rd will be pretty hard for you tho. also in your app try to explain why you love upenn so much, they are one school which highly values that. My friend got in ed this year and his stats were not as good as yours

Looks good! I can’t give you a totally accurate decision, just because I’m not really familiar with UPenn and of course none of us can give you an accurate decision regardless, but I’d say you have a fair shot if you apply ED! Just make sure your essays are really good.

Bump   :): ) :)

I think you’ve definitely got a good shot. When you retake the SAT, really try to get that math score up to an 800 (it’s apparently standard in most business schools and technology schools). Your junior year average isn’t included in your overall GPA right? because the overall wouldn’t make sense if it was.
What were your elective courses? because if those also demonstrate an interest in economics then I think you’d have a definitely higher chance. As it is now, I’d give you a 80% chance at Penn since you’re applying ED. based on your other stuff, a slightly low average won’t hurt you at all.
chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1313605-chance-me-computer-science-schools-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

For those of you the responded, thank you so much.

If more people could talk about my chances with other schools along with Penn that would be greatly appreciated.

bump :)

I don’t know much about UPenn but for Columbia, I think it’d be a reach. You’d definitely need a really good essay but you’d probably have a shot :)

Chance me back?

Tough sell on Wharton, but Penn CAS is where your highest chances will be, not to say they are very high even for ED. SAT/gpa are not the strongest. Penn is a pretty big numbers school so you’ll want to bump up your SAT a little if you can. ECs are ok, have a few leadership stuff. Overall, while I wouldn’t put your chances for Penn ED as great, it’s doable, but a deferral may be imminent.

As far as the other schools go, Princeton, MIT, Columbia, Dartmouth, Duke range from mid to high reaches mainly because of weaker academics. The rest are more in range. Good luck

BUMP!

HELP A HOMIE OUT :p

iiite ma boiii those are some crazzzyyyy numbers, but for UPenn u gotta have swaggggg
without swag you aint getting in
it doesnt matter what your class rank is in acadamics, what matters more is where you rank on the swagometer
so just make sure you have your swag to the max

Bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump bump
