Oh and I the AP courses I took were all online: Calculus AB, Physics B, English Literature. Took the most rigorous courses. Only Calculus AB and Physics B were offered in the school. However, due to schedule conflicts (I took 10th grade classes in 9th grade, 11th grade classes in 10th grade, etc.) I took them all online.

Your SAT is good, by all means, but for the school’s your applying to it may hold you back. Hype up your ECs as they are pretty good, and the awards are also good. Maybe use the addition doc on the common app to include everything.

Being an International makes it pretty tough, but being from Guam may add diversity so it could be hit or miss at your reach schools. Overall I’d say you’ll get into 30% of the schools, though it’s impossible to predict which ones.

I’m not an international though. I’m a US citizen in an American Territory. Thanks for the feed back! :D

Anyone else?

You have a lot going for you, great rank, great EC’s, solid test scores, and coming from guam. You listed some the absolute top schools in the nation that are tough for anyone, however, I think you have a good shot at getting in to at least a couple of them. You have the stuff, now it is just whether or not you are lucky… Good Luck
Chance Back?

Just chanced your thread. :)

I’d say your chances for Cal Tech and Stanford are pretty low unfortunately. If you had a high Physics SAT II and some really stellar science ECs you’d have a better chance for Cal Tech and MIT. Probably in a UWash and good chance at Berkeley.

MIT-reach
Cal Tech-low reach
Stanford-low reach
U Wash-low match
Berkeley-match

Don’t know about the others, sorry :frowning: Good luck!

Chance back please

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1241354-decent-gpa-high-sat-1-weak-ecs.html</a></p>

Stanford - reach
MIT - reach
Caltech - reach
WUSTL - match
Berkley - match

You’re very strong overall, and being from Guam will help (I’m from Alaska, geographic diversity for the win!) I think you have a decent shot at all these schools, but make sure you have some safeties you like as well. Good luck!

Chance me back por favor: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1234291-chance-alaskan-top-schools.html</a></p>

I agree, your stats are strong but the universities you are looking at (esp. MIT and CalTech) will require more than just an array of ECs. You do have a lot to pull from so the wording in your descriptions will be crucial. Keep your head up, you are a stellar student but the universities that you are looking at receive many that are on par with you and probably better.

Chance me?

I think you have really great chances at all of those schools! Of course schools like Stanford are completely unpredictable (I’m in the same boat as your for REA) but they always go for well rounded people and you seem to be in good shape!
Stanford REA - reach (for everyone)
UWashington-St. Louis- match
Berkeley- match

chance me back?

Done with your chances! :)

bump* anybody else?
