THANK YOU

I’m only chancing for the colleges I’m aware of.

To be critical, I’d say that you have some major work to do on your GPA. Is that your W or UW? Your SAT score is low, but that can always be fixed. Do some serious work and you can go upto as high as 2200+ which would GREATLY improve your resume. Good leadership positions.

Get your GPA to around a 3.4 as well.

VTech - Reach (High Reach if you’re trying the Engin. prgrm)
JMU - High Match (If you get your GPA/SAT up it’s a match)
Assuming you are in-state for the above two

FSU- Get your GPA up and a really good SAT score would make you a match

I don’t really think going up .3 is plausible considering I am 3/4’s through junior year and in a few months my application is going to be reviewed. I know my SAT scores are fairly low, that is due to the fact that it was my first time taking them. Thank you very much though! Critical is good!

Clemson University - Reach
Virginia Tech - Reach
Florida State University - Match
Ithaca College - ?
James Madison University - ?
Marquette University - Match
Purdue University - Match
University of Connecticut - High Match
University of Florida - Instate-Match, OOS-Reach
University of Massachusetts: Amherst - Match

I only know about the Florida schools but

FSU- I would just get your SAT’s up a bit and if that 3.1 is weighted, I would try your best to finish this semester and first semester next year really strong.
UF- in-state: I wouldn’t bother out of state- reach

I am from New York by the way I probably should’ve thrown that in.

By the way if any of you have Chance Threads please link me! Thank you!

Chance me for the following PLEASE:
Clemson University - Reach
Virginia Tech - Reach
Florida State University - Match
Ithaca College - ?
James Madison University - Match
Marquette University - Match
Purdue University - Mid-Reach
University of Connecticut - Low-Reach
University of Florida - High-Reach if OOS, Low-Reach if in-state.
University of Massachusetts: Amherst - Low-Reach

Thanks for chancing me earlier!

Ithaca College, it’s some small school in upstate New York. In the same town as Cornell, but not nearly as prestigious haha.

Thanks SLightManifesto!

Dear Matt35,

As you requested, I incorporated your scores, GPA, leadership, and extracurriculars into a systematically devised function of calculatory means that I developed to precisely calculate percent chance of admission to various universities in the US and abroad. The results are as follows (these are the percent chances that you will be accepted at the below named institutions of higher educatory education):

Clemson University: 26.287%
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University: 22.161%
Florida State University: 34.753%
Ithaca College: 37.652%
James Madison University: 35.455%
Marquette University: 47.288%
Purdue University: 56.734%
University of Connecticut: 23.294%
University of Florida: 48.831%
University of Massachusetts (Amherst): 38.989%

Please note that these are only derived from my own personal formula which seems to accurately predict admissions chances pretty well. Hope that helps!

I’m not sure if you could make it into Amherst with that SAT score.

Thank you so much NewStudent! You’re the man!

AnonymousGirl, thanks for the wise advise…haha

New Student, above which percentage would you consider a match and above what percentage would you consider a safety?
