Please Chance!

<p>Hey guys, I'm interested in applying to Ivies, as well as 8-year medical programs such as Brown PLME. Please chance me, I'm unsure of my chances when applying this upcoming school year.</p>

<p>Background:
GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
PSAT: 228
SAT: CR: 720, Math: 800, Writing: 790
SAT II: Math II: 800, Biology: 780, Chemistry: 800
AP: Biology: 5 (waiting on Calculus BC, Chemistry and US History)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Science Olympiad: 6th place in Ecology at 2010 State Competition, 2nd place at 2011 State Competition in both Chemistry Lab and Ecology.
(ran for President, waiting on results)
School newspaper: Most Valuable Writer (sophomore year), Section Editor (junior, senior)
Science Research:
-full time internship at local research institute (2 years so far)
-1st place at 2011 LA County Science Fair
-2nd place at 2011 California State Science Fair
-2011 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair Finalist
-will be submitting abstracts to national journals for publication

<p>What’s the point of asking us to chance you? You obviously know how good you are I mean great gpa great sat, ap scores ec…</p>

<p>but I know how competitive the top schools are these days, and I feel like my stats would average if not below average right now. so I’m looking almost for feedback on how to improve my chances…</p>

<p>No way to improve. You are doing well. But when someone is a competitive applicant applying to extremely competitive schools, it’s nearly impossible to predict whether or not you’ll get in.</p>

<p>You certainly have good chances, but remember to apply to matches and safeties, as well, just in case!</p>

<p>You have great stats, dont stress you’ve done the best that you can and the ret isn’t in your hands… Good luck :)</p>
