<p>Hello Friends,</p>

<p>I am a prospective International applicant from India and I had applied to colleges ( HYPS, Amherst, Williams, Dartmouth, Middlebury, Hamilton, Bates, Columbia, Penn ) this year. But now I expect rejection from everywhere. But still can someone chance me.</p>

<p>Career Goals - Politician, Major - Pol. Sci.</p>

<p>Grades - Class IX - 90+, Class X - 87.5, Class XI - 88, Class XII - 75.8 ( CBSE English topper ) </p>

<li><p>Co-Founder of Two Registered and recognized NGOs ( One in a major city and the other in Northern Bengal ), First helps the poor people in their pursuit to gain education, Second helping the homeless and poor.</p></li>
<li><p>Created a new product, investors ready to invest, product ready to be launched.</p></li>
<li><p>Writing two books which would be published in the coming month.</p></li>

<p>Now the deal breaker - SAT Score - 2030, SAT II ( Jan 28th score, I am still shocked with the score. I felt I had done MUCH better ) - ( Maths - 630, US History - 640, Physics - 650 )</p>

<p>I am not familiar with your grading system. So I will only comment on your other stats. Your SAT scores are fine for Hamilton. Your EC’s sound pretty interesting and commendable. The fact that your have two pieces ready for publish should excite the admission staff. Comparing these with my own kids who have gained admission in the past, you stand a very good chance. Regarding the other schools on your list, you are correct that your chances are slim. Too many students, applying for too few spots, with much better grades, scores, awards and activities than you. Sadly, there isnt much you can do about it. Would love to hear from others about your chances.</p>

<p>Your stats seem to be fine for Hamilton and you got some impressive extracurriculars there. Are you applying for financial aid? I would even risk saying that you could as well end up getting in with financial aid (if you need it). But with college admissions, you never know. Do you have anything to do with community and such? Hamilton is really really big on that. You must have a commitment to community.</p>

<p>Also, Hamilton has that 3 test score policy so not all your SAT scores would be considered anyway!</p>

<p>I have already decided to join politics to empower my people. That’s the only goal of my life.</p>

<p>The sat scores are fine, thy aren’t a deal breaker by any means. I’m not familiar with the grading system, but off the SATs and extra-curriculars you have a good shot.</p>

<p>@ksanyee… I hope you are right about Ham being big on community. My S has 1500 community service hours and lots of leadership… Eagle Scout, National scouting leadership position, etc. I am this will give him a boost over his lower GPA… 3.5ish. He had a great interview and we are both crossing our fingers till the 23rd!!!</p>

<p>the ECs are amazing.
i am pretty sure that your SAT score wont bother you much to get into HC.
then it all depends on the Essays and recos.
as per my prediction, you’re definitely in. :)</p>
