Recommendations - Excellent

Now the deal breaker - SAT Score - 2030, SAT II ( Jan 28th score, I am still shocked with the score. I felt I had done MUCH better ) - ( Maths - 630, US History - 640, Physics - 650 )

SATs are low … from experience you need an average of 750 in each area - minimum

Isn’t Amherst holistic in its approach.

Will my application be read ? If yes, I might still have a chance. My essays, career goals, LORs etc may impress the adcoms after all.

Thanks by the way. I am just hoping for the best. :-)

Just speaking from the school of “hard knocks” and experience … they are holistic once you get SATs in the 760s or higher across the board. There is a huge difference between “selective” and “highly selective.”

They are flooded with 780, 790 and 800 applicants. They go holistic once they screen the SATs for regular applicants. Legacy people, minorities and athletes are a different story - they’re given more consideration.

Still - do NOT want to discourage you from applying … you got an awesome resume and just as much chance as anyone. Admit stat is ~15% … that’s the reality unless you’re a legacy or recruited.
