GPA: my school has a bizarre 6.0 scale where a 6.0 is not possible because of the courses offered. i have about a 5.3 with a midyear average. weighted regular scale: 4.1, school does not RANK.

SAT: 2200 (CR800 W710 M690 and taking it again to bring math up, assume about 730+)

taken all the most rigorous courses- double accelerated math since 5th grade, honors french 2 years, honors chem, AP english, APUS, AP calculus, 4 AP's next year.

planning to take SATII Lit and US so that i dont have to send in a sub-par math II.

EC's: competitive/ USFSA testing figure skater, hugely committed, includes ballet and other training as well
member of amnesty international for 4 years high school, 2 years on board, probably president next year
french club 4 years
1 year all county choir
member NHS
active midnight run participant
2 years organizer and 1 year "dean" (head organizer/coordinator) of rock and run for social justice, a youth social justice weekend that includes several midnight runs, workshops, benefit concert and outreach service. involved huge amount of work, very successful event.
several years singing in an out of school choir
smaller, less significant EC's, many that fit into the social justice theme

any opinions?

thanks, i will chance back.

out of the schools I know,
Amherst- toss up
Brown- only God knows
McGill- probably
Good job on the SAT. I've heard of perfect math scores, but perfect CR, that takes skill. Make sure you have your safeties. Good job overall and good luck

thanks for the opinions. haha amherst, i visted and talked to the dean and he said "it's a total crapshoot". gotta love small schools.

thank you! i am very happy about CR. math, it's just silly that i dont do well! i have been in double accl. math for 5 years now and i'm a junior in AP calc. the problem is that i have this bizarre urge to use integrals and matrixes every time i sit down to take it, instead of just plugging in the stupid numbers haha. i actually used implicit differentiation on the SAT this year, although in my defense, it took 4 seconds and the way they wanted would have taken a minute and i got it right. but you get my drift...
