Everything looks good…except, like someone else has already mentioned, your GPA is wanting. Also, you’re a white American male…hmm. You have to consider that, and make yourself stand out even more.

Nice test scores! I think you need to start focusing on a few things, and maybe get some awards to show that youre accomplished in them.

Id say you have a good chance at most of these schools, your GPA is your main problem. It will probably cost you acceptance at your Ivies.

I think you’ve got just as good a chance as anybody at these schools. At the end of the day, stanford, harvard, etc. are reaches for everybody. But like I said, you’re just as competitive as anybody else basically. Your test scores are awesome, congrats!

In at UVA and NYU. The UC system is looking to accept more OOS students (higher tuition), so you have a pretty good shot there. Everywhere else depends on your essays/recs.

Well, Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia are difficult to call, especially with your unweighted GPA. Im wondering how your grades have changed throughout your high school career (low at first, but then high, or gradually decreasing?) I’d say EA at Georgetown or UChicago for your best shot. Harvard is a high reach.

Stanford: reach
Harvard: mid reach
UVA: match
UC Berkeley: high match
UChicago: high match
Dartmouth: low reach
Columbia: mid reach
NYU: safety
Georgetown: high match

Good luck and solid stats :)

bump. 10char

I think everyone’s hit on the basics. Raise your GPA as much as you can, but you have great testing and everything else. I think schools like Stanford are pretty much a reach for anyone, but go for it!

oh i thought u couldn’t apply EA anywhere else when applying EA to Georgetown. Anyways you are lookin pretty fly homie. Those test scores are good as you know and your gpa is relatively low as you know.

You have a REALLY good ACT score and your AP test grades are good, too. Your GPA might be a little low, so work hard first semester senior year, and then academically you seem all set. Your ECs are pretty solid too, with officer positions. Harvard and Stanford may seem like a bit of a reach, but there’s no harm in trying since you never know, and I’d say that you have a pretty good chance with the others on that list. Just try to make your personal statement shine in your essays is the best advice I have for now :)

Not to sound dumb or anything…but what does OOS exactly mean? Cause I’ve been hearing it a lot lately… :)

Out of state!!! never mind then :D

You have good scores (use ACT and SAT2s), ECs (lots of leadership) and GPA. only the ivies should be reaches; however, you have a decent shot at any of the colleges on your list. Good Luck!

I think you have an awesome shot at the ivies, and you’re in everywhere else.

I think if you do ED at either Stanford or Columbia (the top 2 schools on your list) you def. have a chance! It really doesn’t matter if you do EA at Georgetown because the admission rate is the same for EA as the RD rate. I think you would have the best chance if you did ED at Columbia though; I would say that it is a high match for you for ED.

My county does not rank, but yes there is a fair amount of deflation
^In your previous thread (there is a plethora of them) you mentioned that you didn’t care about your future in frosh+soph year, didn’t you?
