Hey guys I was wondering if I could get a couple of chances for some schools like UCLA, USC, UCSD, NYU, BU, and JHU.

Sophmore year:
AP Euro History: C/B

AP Human Geography: B/A
H Biology: B/A
English: B/A
Alg. 2: A/A

Also took Trigonometry and Chemistry over the summer at a local college and got an A in both of the classes.

Junior Year:
AP Physics B: A/A
AP Computer Science: A/A
H English: A/A
H Math Analysis/ AP Calc A: A/A
H US History: A/A
Spanish 3: A/A

SAT: 2100

SAT II: Math IIC: 760, only taken that so far.

Extracurricular: 400+ hours of voluteer service at a local hospital and I plan to work there during senior year.

I plan to talk about how volunteering at the hospital changed my views of life etc. etc.

My main schools that i'm shooting for are UCLA and UCSD since i'm in state.

UCLA - reach
USC - slight reach
UCSD - reach
NYU - reach
BU - good match
JHU - slight reach

UCSD will still be a reach even with a 4.16 UC GPa?!?!?

UCLA and UCSD ur in!!! anybody who tells u otherwise is high!
ur in state and ur stats are amazing. If u were OOS then ur chances wouldnt be as high but stil would have a good chance. I hate how ppl exagerate at CC. :P

USC: its a match with a possibility for getting money. I wouldnt pick USC. Area isnt that great but well everyone has their taste.

NYU: reach. its tough for OOS but u still have a very good shot.
I have several friends with lower stats than u and OOS as well who got in.

BU: safety. def ull get in with money.

JHU: not really sure. Wont comment here.

UCSD should be a safe bet.
As for UCLA, I would go 50/50.

I thought NYU was private.. and don't privates treat OOS and in state the same?

"I thought NYU was private.. and don't privates treat OOS and in state the same?"

Yes, they do. It's just a little more money for out of state...actually a LOT more money.

NYU's not that hard to get into. I mean, hell, the Olsen twins go there. They're obviously not geniuses.

1300 Math + Reading score is about the average SAT

What do you think I should do to increase my chances and secure my place in UCLA?

Are you serious, the Olsen twins go to NYU?!?!?! lol

What would u say the average SAT score is for NYU including reading score?

Oh, and I dont plan to get financial aid.

Im pretty sure the Olsens got in because their celebrities but I might be totally wrong. :P

Any suggestions on beefing up my application?
