Hi this prompt is from the BB on the practice for writing section not the actually practice test prompt.

The prompt is:
Is deception ever justified?

Deception or lying in general justifiable. When has a relationship ever been formed or based on deceptions. Since they are never part of relationship, deception can never ben justified. Deception shows lack of courage and boldness and it hinders progress and it also always hurts a relationship since the truth always comes out.
Take for an example, Ann bakes some cookies and she shares them a friend of hers. Turns out her cookies were somewhat burnt and bitter, and her friend notices this irregularity. Now she can choose to lie but if she does lie, it shows that she can't even her friend a simple truth because of some certain fear. This show she lacks the courage to stand up against her fear. If she tells the truth, her friend might be shocked but with later thank her honesty and she may even think on how to fix the taste and and baking, hence she makes a progress in her baking skills.
And imagine the same senario where the lies persist and her cookies are still partly burnt and maybe even more bitter than previously. One day Ann was visiting her friend and she reached her friend's doorstep and she hears her friend who is on the phone talking to another one of Ann's friend. Suddenly Ann's friend change the topic to Ann's cookies and Ann's two friend then criticize Ann's baking skills and her cookies. Ann being sad and disgusted run home. And the next they met Ann's friend realizes she is acting strangely and why she didn't come over her house last time. It suddenly pangs her that Ann may have overheard the conversation and now she too feel guilty and disgusted. Although the truth may not always come out like this or the scenario might even entirely different but the fact remains truth alway comes out. And the relationship between the two has been "hopefully" temporarily ruined since Ann's friend has shown that she doesn't trust Ann enough to take criticism lightly despite their friendship, he she lacks courage. Ann becomes sad on this fact the her friend could not have confided on even such simple matters and wonders what else has been hidden from her. Deception has hurted both of them and their relationship.

Deception shows lack of courage and it does not work on the long run because the truth always comes out like maggot coming out of a rotting carcass and it is never justified. Sadly despite these facts many people, places, organizations (i.e. governments and corporations) still employ deception as tool in their lives and work for example Ponzi scheme corporations in wall street.
