I am in my early 40s, and am preparing an application to go back to the University of Southern California in engineering. I just completed the GREs yesterday and have the preliminary scores. First of all, let me say that test taking sure has changed. No longer pencil and paper tests of course. Had to have eyeglasses inspected and a metal detector waved over my clothes to ensure I don’t have electronics. Lots of videos cameras in the test room monitoring every move.
Anyways, I came out with a test score of 161 Quantative / 160 Verbal. Don’t know my analytical writing yet.
Wondering if folks could comment on the test scores? Looking online, it looks like I should have gotten a 164 or better quantative for the best chance of getting admitted into the USC. I can say that my scores are higher than 10 years ago when I last took the GREs.
