you have a fine chance at Cornell…but DO NOT APPLY TO 20 SCHOOLS! I am using caps because seriously, why would you want to put yourself through all that, especially when you have senior year classes to deal with? cut that list in half and then proceed.

I’m curious, out of that illustrious list, what do you like about Cornell so much that you’d do ED? I did ED also so I’m not questioning that it’s a good decision, but it would be interesting to know what stands out to you.

Great Questions!
You seem like a student with great potential and a great resume. I agree with the previous poster - make a strategy such as this:

-Choose one or two early action schools and possibly an early action safety or two
-Choose an ed school that you love the most (if you’re not worried about comparing financial packages)

 • Choose follow-up schools if you ed school doesn’t pan out that are ready to roll out once you hear from your ed school.

Good luck - you’re lucky to be in the position you’re in.

thank you for your responses! yeah i don’t actually intend to apply to 20 schools, my list is more like 9, but i wanted to see how i would place overall. as it stands now, to answer faustarp’s question, cornell is my top choice for several reasons. one, as shallow as it may seem, i loved the campus, just absolutely fell in love. also, it just “felt right”. currently however, i’m having trouble deciding between cornell and colgate because i recently visited colgate and was very impressed. cornell might be too big, and colgate might be too small. also, cornell would probably have the more prestigious name, considering it being in the ivy league. yes, that shouldnt matter, but i’m brown, and it matters to brown parents haha…hopefully i’ll know more in a couple months but any advice would be much appreciated!
