oh i forgot...................look into umich ----great engineering program....one of the 10 best in the country........

you seem to satisfy the qualifications.......apply early ........there are loads of international students at university of michigan! ( big indian popluation too....if you are looking for that)

hey, we have almost the same SAT score! 780 math, 730 verbal... but i have a 770 writing. lol! ok, anyway, let me first just say that international competition for spots in some of those universities (princeton, MIT, caltech) is insane. But don't let that deter you! Your basic stats are certainly good enough. Are you good enough at swimming to be recruited? If so, try emailing the coaches. I think that raising $40,000 for charity is a very impressive EC, and i would try to capitalize on that for the essay. Bottom line: princeton, MIT, and caltech are huge, huge reaches (though possible), but you have a great shot at the rest.

I live next door to Purdue- WL. You're in. Easy. With cash. We have somewhat similar stats: I'd recommend U Mich as a match as well, they're excellent for engineering.

MIT and Caltech are really long shots, but if your essays are strong than it's a maybe. Apply EA if you're interested. Princeton is also pretty high reach.

I'd say UT Austin is a pretty good chance as well, as well as UIUC, and Georgia Tech and Wash U are good reaches.

However, if you're considering doing athletics in college that could help a lot.

UT Austin admits 95% of their applicants from the state of Texas. I don't know if it's a match for anyone, but the above poster has a good chance.

I know a guy named Akshay Thusu at my school...lol! I think Princeton, MIT, CalTech, and UT Austin are big reaches, but apply anyway! Admission are unpredictable these days unless your SAT is far below the average or your just a horrible student. As for the others, I think you have a good chance.

I don't see why you wouldn't have a reasonable chance at all of the schools that you listed. Your test scores are solid, but you will need to take one more sat2. You should emphasize the raising of 40000 for charity and being the captain of the swimming team. The essays will probably make you or break you at MIT, Princeton, and Caltech, given that you receive good teacher recommendations.
