2004 (after freshman year)- volunteer with Rock the Vote campaign, JSA California Summer Symposium, student in special international relations lecture course (one of 20 high school students selected)—not for credit even though it was at a local college
2005 (after sophomore year)- internship with Congressman, traveled to El Salvador where I worked w/ NGOs and various government officials to help bring about a plan to help the country rise out of poverty (went w/ one of those travel companies)
2006 (after junior year)- internship with Senator, attended NFL (Debate) nationals in Texas, participant in Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project (CLYLP) (one of 120 high school students in CA selected to attend), internship w/ local law firm, internship w/ city’s mayor</p>

<p>hahaha apply to harvard and well see.......your hispanic man, your a shoe in at many schools. including the fact your a first generation</p>

<p>SAT's will be in the lowest 25% for SFS applicants and GPA is on the low end as well, SFS median class rank is 96th percentile. Internships look impressive. </p>

<p>Minority status will help somewhat, but it seems the SFS doesn't pay as much attention to it as other Georgetown schools. If you really love international politics I'd say it's worth a shot, but getting into the SFS isn't easy for anyone.</p>
