thanks guys.

bumpppppppp

I got into UCSB and UCSD with a lower GPA, so I'd say you can consider them a lock. Can't speak for either LA or Bekeley, though from what I've heard you have a good shot at UCLA as well.

O-name,
thanks for the encouragement. Couple of Questions, did u do physics? Did u get into LA?

thanks

I didn't get into LA, and yeah I did physics. I did most of the courses assist.org told me to.

I probably should have mentioned this in the first post, but I got into the Biochem major, not straight Chemistry. Biochem is a Chemistry department major so I'd think difficulty would be about the same.

It's weird but counselors and UC reps said that Biochem and most Life Sciences were impacted. So i chose General Chem. which means i will have to do an extra calc class, but oh well.

BUt looking at stats from UCLA, it appears that average gpa is almost the same for biochem, regular chem, and Life science.

<a href="http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof04_mjr.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/Tr_Prof04_mjr.htm</a></p>

Some of the UC's have two biochem majors, one through the chemistry department and another through the biology department. The Biology version is probably the impacted one, some (SB and SD for sure) even put you into pre-major status until you do some extra courses at the UC.

bumpy

what are my chances
