"Please explain the gap in education prior to your transfer term:"

What do I write in this box for my TAG app? Thanks.

If you don’t have a gap, write nothing.

If you do, then write about why you decided to take a time off or how you contributed to society in that time.

I’m transferring in the Fall of 2012 and I’ll be going to my CC for Fall 2011 and Spring 2012, but not Summer 2012. Therefore, I write nothing, correct? I should only write something if I’m NOT attending for Spring 2012?

how are you accessing the TAG application already sir?

Sir? lol :P

I’m just on the “My Coursework” tab of the TAG app and noticed that they updated my TAG form. I have a box where it says “Please explain the GAP in education between the summer 2007 and summer 2008 terms:” and a box where it says “Please explain the GAP in education between the summer 2008 and spring 2009 terms:”.

I explained that I was a full time HS student in both boxes and was simply taking courses for extra credit and that I didn’t graduate HS until Summer 2009 so my first true term was Fall 2009.

At the very bottom of my app, it says “Please explain the gap in education prior to your transfer term:”

I believe that tomorrow’s the TAG app update.

or madam?..

im gonna go check mine too, i need to work on mine, i have coursework from 02-10. because i took college courses in highschool too, and messed around and got myself 21 W’s, but i have been on an uphill track for the past year or two, nothing but 3.5 and above each term.

oh yeah just wanted to say thanks for convincin me to not go to eastbay and AIM towards a UC & i highjacked your poly sci idea too for my pre-dental journey.

<3

No no, I’m a guy. I work at Footlocker and am conditioned to respond to “hey kid.”

Well, that’s fantastic. My friends at CSUEB are not enthusiastic about their curriculum and 2 are dropping out to go to Las Positas College (CC). CSUEB has a good nursing and business program and that’s about it. A buddy of mine got into various UCs and CSUEB but chose to attend CSUEB because he would get to stay at home and is now regretting it because he says Silicon Valley is hiring kids from SJ state and Cal Poly SLO for computer science positions. (Poli Sci is a great major imo, easy and interesting. Perfect for law school where I just need a high GPA and I’m sure dental/med schools would appreciate a non-traditional student.)

serramonte?

i bet you guys are gonna hate it if that grape/laney package drops.

but hmm CS is happening again? thought it was slowing down and going overseas. errrrg. i would like to work in SV. apple<3

thats what im talking about easy major, so i can major in biology, have that high GPA and a high sci GPA.

you and a handful of others taught me non trad with pre reqs is a better route than bio/chem/nuclear engineering, etc.

im tagging to Davis this year too, hopefully we can kick it if you and i go, but im eyeing irvine too, but as you see, i made a thread about racism out their, im going to do some investigation this fall/winter in irvine and see how i like it, if i dont, davis here i come.

@Hayward1991, the “gap in education” prompt should only come up if you have actual gaps in your education (or at least that’s what I thought the TAG tech guys said at the transfer counselor conference). Double check your dates of attendance for each CCC and make sure you put in the correct dates.
