(PLEASE GIVE ME ELDERLY ADVICE!) CCC->UCLA (econ/bus. econ major)??

Ok, so I can definitely get a 4.0 at my community college, but then I stumbled upon something called the honors program->TAP??
Well, it's my first semester, and everything is really easy-going. So, I was wondering if going for TAP would significantly boost my chances of transferring to UCLA. Also, I've never taken an honors course here so I'm not sure about how easily I can get an A there, so I MIGHT get one or two B's if I join the honors program (to safely assume). That would make my GPA go down to around a 3.9 something or 3.8? Is getting a 4.0 with no honors better than a 3.8 (at minimum) with honors?
Also, right now I have very little EC's.
I'm TRYING to get a job, and it's very bleak... I've applied everywhere and my mom's picky so I'm limited to looking within a 5 mile radius. So, I'm just volunteering (to fill up my spare time) at a couple of places like the Library tutor center and a hospital for terminally ill patients. Do they care if you are in clubs and have a lot of EC's? What other things would you recommend me do to improve my chances to transfer there?

Also my backup transfer goal is UCI, is that an easy shot for me?

I love you guys, thanks for reading and helping me out.

Lots of questions…simple answers tho.

Do TAP, it is your best friend for UCLA. Yes Honors classes are more difficult (more reading) but If you are truly that talented and “cruising” at CC then u better and can ace them. Generally speaking, 4.0 beats anything and thats what you want for not only UCLA but all schools u may wanna apply to. As far as EC’s just have a good mix and leadership positions are good but dont sacrifice grades for them

BTW UCI is so easy to get into, just tag…done
