Please give me some feedback on chances for Duke, Washington and Lee, William and Mary

I go to a good (top 10%) public school in PA, am first in my class of 250 with a 4.2 weighted, 4.0 unweighted GPA. Took AP US Gov, AP Calc AB, and AP US History in soph/jr years – 5 on all three exams – and currently am taking AP Macro, Calc BC, English, and Physics … 2270 on SAT (780/760/730 CR/M/WR), and took Math II and Lit. subject tests today, so no results there. I’m drum major of the marching band, Eagle Scout, editor of school newspaper, and quiz bowl captain, and have logged about 200 service hours. I also was a National Merit semifinalist, and should have strong recommendations.

Looking at applying to Duke (maybe ED), Washington and Lee (maybe Johnson Scholarship program), William and Mary, Bucknell, Gettysburg, Penn, Gordon, and Dickinson. Chances for any or all? Thanks in advance.

FWIW, looking at a liberal arts major of some sort. Probably enter undeclared

Looks like a strong application. I would predicte you would get into Bucknell, Gettysburg, Gordon, and Dickinson for sure. You have a shot at all of the schools You should apply and compare financial aid offers.

Hmm. OK. Thanks for the input.

Think you are also a sure thing at Washington & Lee. If you were a VA resident William & Mary would also be a great shot. Hard to predict chances from out of state though. Penn and Duke you certainly have a good shot

Yeah, when I visited W&M they remind everyone that 2/3 of applicants are out of state but 2/3 of class has to be in state, so we’ll see. Going to need some merit aid wherever I go …

Any other opinions?

Anyone?

I have a pretty similar resumé and am applying to these same three schools. I predict I’ll get into WL with a pretty generous financial package (merit-based) and probably William and Mary, but Duke is on the rocks. Have you considered UVa? It’s pretty similar to your other choices, maybe a bit larger, but still has some similiarities.
