Prompt: Does the truth change depending on how people look at things?

“Truth can not be changed!” We can always hear such statement from teachers or parents. Admittedly, truth is facts, and no matter how beautiful or terrible the language is to describe the truth, it will not change. But sometimes, under certain circumstance, if people use different spheres to look at the truth, the conclusion made by mankind will be changed, which means the truth in human’s moral world will be altered.
Looking at the truth based on different dimensions, the fact of Jack, the former CEO of general electricity, can be altered from negative to positive. First becoming the CEO of General Electricity, Jack made a huge reform for the company. He cut off 75% stagnant business and fired 50% employees in order to make more profit. What’s more, he also set up a “30-60-10” rule to supervise workers. According to this rule, employees need to grade each other based on their daily performance at the end of the year. If the worker’s grade is below 10% of all the grades, he or she will be fired. When first applying the rules, Jack was criticized for his cruelty and recklessness. Some people even tried to accuse him for firing too many workers. Suddenly, Jack became a notorious CEO in the U.S. But on the other hand, some experts pointed out that this reform can support the rapid development of the company. They also claimed that had Jack not set up these rules, General Electricity would not have stopped going down. As expected, General Electricity not only escape the deceasing situation, but also became the most profitable company among other companies in the America. Even though Jack made a huge progress, some people still considered him as a coldblooded man who regarded his employees as his tools; but others argued that Jack was a passionate young man who has wisdom and courage to break up the old rules. The fact of Jack was ranged from being criticized to being supporting. From this case we learned that when people look at things from different dimensions, the truth can be totally reversed.
In our recent life, we can still find lots of examples similar to Jack’s case. After the invention of plastic bag, people stopped taking recycle bags to the shop. The majority favored this convenient invention and advocate the factory to largely produce it. But to the ecologists, plastic bag not only degrade people’s consciousness of buying the things they need, but also do harm to the whole environment. Based on different standard, the truth of plastic bag can be switched from a human’s helper to a devil of pollution.
From these cases, we can conclude that even though the truth itself stays the same, people will still change it greatly by the dimensions they choose.

I feel sorry for bothering everyone. I am not a native speaker, I just started to practice SAT. I need to take the test on MAY 2nd. I felt stressful and don’t know what to do. So I tried to ask help online. Thanks !!!

No problem! I’m reading it over now.

This is pretty good! Your grammar is great.

One thing I did have a problem with is the fact that you referred to the CEO as “Jack”. It’s not a huge issue, but the essay would sound stronger if you include a last name. Also, I thought your thesis statement was a little weak:

“But sometimes, under certain circumstance, if people use different spheres to look at the truth, the conclusion made by mankind will be changed, which means the truth in human’s moral world will be altered.”

In fact, the whole first paragraph seems a little convoluted to me. Is there any way you could emphasize the idea that there is no real “truth”, and that each person’s “truth” is purely subjective?
