Topic: Do changes that make our lives easier not necessarily make them better?

What makes the 21st century unique amongst all other centuries is our technological advancements which make our lives easier, such as elevators, ATMs, automobiles, cellular phones. These all benefit our lives every single day. However we unfortunately we have learned many convenient goods have led to health problems and loss of personal security.

Computers and vehicles have made our lives much easier then 100 years ago but it has also affected our health. Diabetes, obesity, heart attack and strokes are now very common in our world killing people every day. Is improvement in technology the main reason for this issue no it is not but it plays a big factor. There is an increase of obesity in our population from kids who prefer the couch and TV or computer and games to outdoor activities leading to older health problems such as diabetes. Also parents are getting lazy and constantly buy preserved foods that with improved technology can last forever using ingredients not healthy for the body.

Today many people have online profiles such as Facebook, YouTube and other sites which require you to enter personal information. These sites all have cool features such as connecting with friends and viewing online videos but they have a price to pay. Anyone can access your profile and view personal information which can lead to identity theft and credit theft. With this anyone around the world will know where you live or even your credit card number causing a lot of people to be paranoid and be insecure.

Technology does promise to make our lives easier but unfortunately for ever good thing there is always a bad thing. Diabetes, obesity, heart attacks and strokes have been on an increase in our population. Perhaps we might have fallen under the influence of modern technology that were supposed to make our lives easier.
