<pre><code> One's true potential can only be discovered during severe ordeals. There are always unknown talents in people that are only revealed during serious situations, because without thinking of it all of out natural instincts go into action. I have solid proof of thss from events that happened during the last few years. These include my cousin's friend almost drowning and my neighbor having a heart attack.
Four years ago, my cousin and her best friend were on a vacation at a beach in Alexandria, Egypt. My cousin only went to walk on the sand as she has a horrible fear of water, because when she was seven her dad had drowned. Her friend was also about to be taken by massive waves of the beach when she fell off of a walk way. My cousin trebmled at the thought of diving into what she felt was practically a mortuary, but couldn't abandon her beloved best friend. She dived in saving her freind, and discovered she was a naturally excelent swimmer. A few days after the incident she joined a swimming team. Just last week she won her tenth first place medal at a swimming competition.
When I was nine years old I didn't have a very lucid thought yet of what I wanted to be. During one morning I was playing basketball with a few of my friends at the park, and with us was my neighbor who had just turned sixty year's old. My friends left early that day, so I walked home with my neighbor. She all of a sudden had a heart attack. I ran to her car and found a first aid kit with thorough instructions. That day I found out how much I would love to become a doctor and wake up every morning to save peoples lives.
Tough challenges are what show our true personalitites.
