The reason why I did really bad in 10th grade is because i was mentally depressed for a while..... I had gone through a mental breakdown and it had lasted throughout the entire 2 years. Ya i rly dont want to state why i was depressed here but I explained y in my college essay. I started to regain and become "normal" at the start of 11th grade.

UCLA <------- My DREAM

I’mma help a bro out right here, from a Physics and Mathematical Sciences bro over at UCSB and a homie from the bay. I would say there is a good shot at getting into most schools in general, including UCLA. I mean, you did well on the SAT, destroyed the SAT II’s, explained what went wrong Sophomore year in one of your essays which was the RIGHT thing to do, as they will take that into account and notice how you improved, and also be able to see that one isn’t able to completely destroy on every SAT you take and get average grades without something going on. So really, don’t sweat it bro.

And on a final note, know there is actually no such thing as a dream school. People are made to believe there is, but there really isn’t. Being brought up as a child, I’d always had wanted to go to UC Berkeley. But when it finally came down to it, I realized UCSB was the best fit for me due to my major and the setting. Heck, I know quite a lot of people that turned down Cal and UCLA to go to UCSB because they felt it fit better. I’m not saying that visiting you have visited your dream school of UCLA or not, but make sure you visit every school and get a true feel of the atmosphere of the campus and surroundings without any thought of “academic prestige” or anything of that matter when there. I know some people that didn’t do this and are regretting it a little now. Not at UCLA, but at other colleges.

But all in all, you should feel comfortable you will get into a LOT of places. A LOT
