* But according to UIUC’s admissions statistics last year (kids with less than a 2.0 GPA got in,), *

Uh…those are called highly desirable athletes.

So basically I need more safeties.

Your safeties are going to be mid-tier schools…either mid-tier flagships or mid-tier privates.

Frankly…since you’re going to be pre-med…I don’t think the idea of transferring is such a good idea. Since having the highest GPA possible is one of the super goals of a pre-med student, it’s not a good idea to jeopardize that with a transfer to a school like Vandy (where they have a ton of pre-meds with super stats).

*BC is my top pick because I loved the campus/students when i went there, as well as the academic program they offer (although **not too strong in pre-med **:/) *

What the heck does that mean? What is your criteria for being strong in pre-med???

* I’m applying to some super-safeties that I’m 100% sure I’ll get into.

*

What schools are your “super safeties”?

BTW…have your parents specifically said that they will pay $50k+ per year for your undergrad? If so, will they also pay for med school???
