For junior year, I'm planning on taking (btw, never had an AP before):

1) AP English Lang
2) AP Calc BC
3) AP Chemistry (double period)
4) Honors World History
5) Molecular Biology (honors)

For my 6th class, should I take
AP Spanish (was originally considering this)
AP Macro/Micro Econ
AP Stat (?)

Apparently Spanish is very hard, and the teacher is my current Spanish 4/5 teacher (shes a so-so teacher, but I don't know about AP). AP Econ is also suppose to be hard at our school. But I want to take another AP so it looks good for college.
Any advice? Also, what kind of work do you do in AP Spanish?

Thanks!

I’m in AP Spanish 5 right now. It’s not as hard as I thought it would be. I’m not sure if this is just with my teacher or if that’s just the way the class works. The workload is really light in my class, and our projects are at the Spanish 2/Spanish 3 level (which is strange because my class is almost entirely made up of native speakers). I just finished doing a project that was little more than an “about me” poster, and that’s worth 20% of my grade. The reading isn’t too difficult; analysis is key. Probably the hardest thing for me is learning idioms/colloquial speech/regional accents, since I’m not a native speaker. As long as you are willing to read literature in Spanish, you can do well in the class and on the test because reading level influences writing skills. Use the same strategies as when you’re studying for English, but just in another language.
