Hi! Hotchkiss applications are due today but I have to pay a fee before I move on to the candidate project. However, there is a choice to pay nothing called “Fee waiver” and another choice to actually pay something. I asked a similar question with a Exeter representative, and he asked if I was applying for FA. I am, and so I didn’t have to pay the app fee because of a “fee waiver”. Should I choose the fee waiver for Hotchkiss as well, since I’m applying for FA? I’m so confused and I don’t want to make the wrong move.
My mom and dad should be able to pay the actual fee, but it would be nice if we could choose the fee waiver.
I think in order to get a fee wavier for Hotchkiss (and many other schools), you have to contact the school directly and they give you a code (I might be wrong), unlike Exeter, where you can just select fee wavier. If you parents can pay the fee relatively easily, without it causing any financial stress, then it may not be worth the hassle of contacting the school and everything (plus I’m not too sure if the admissions office is open today, and if they are, they will be really busy). In the end, the fee is under 100 dollars and that shouldn’t be a big deal, unless your family is going through tough times. Good luck with your application!
I requested a waiver from Hotchkiss and yes you need a code, a name, and a date (if I remember right). So you probably missed that window.
@makp715 I realized that :(. It’s alright though, we were able to pay it.
Also, I think if you called today, there wouldn’t be anyone answering because it’s a Sunday? Also, remember that applications are due in less than 2 hours on Gateway!
