Please HELP!! Art school or community college?

I was accepted to SAIC with a scholarship, so the cost is down to 30,000. However, I'm really interested in going to SBCC, which will cost about 21,000 a year. I have heard lots of great things about SBCC and their art program as well as their transfer program. SAIC is of course a great school, but to me it feels like the right place for grad school, not undergrad. I don't want to feel like I will be throwing away an opportunity if I don't go to SAIC right away. In fact, I think I will have opportunities in the future to go to SAIC for even cheaper than it is right now. Is the 18,000 a year difference worth it? Confused. Any advice would be appreciated!

How are you coming up with the $21,000 for SBCC? If you can’t come up with that, what makes you think you can suddenly have $30,000 for SAIC? Can your family afford SAIC without any loans?

Does the SBCC program have a formal articulation agreement with SAIC or another art school? If not, how do you know that you won’t need to spend four full years at the new institution once you transfer?

Why do you think SAIC will be cheaper in the future? How much cheaper?

Do you have any other options at all? Are you the kind of art/design student who would be happy pursuing a full AA or BA and taking all of those non-art classes, or are you BFA through and through?
