Please Help-Average Student Here

I am about to finish junior year of high school(from Los Angeles), but i really was lazy for all of it , and it bit me back as i have a 3.0-3.1 gpa. My SAT score is 1880 and i will take it again, i also took the AP english exam this year. i have a ton of extra curriculars also(a good page and a half). I really want to major in business. the schools im thinking of are:

arizona state
u of arizona
george mason
oregon
all of the csu's
michigan state

i need help also finding some others, thanks

A little bias but I’d say ASU! They have a highly ranked business program and since its close to Phoenix, a bunch of companies recruit from ASU (5th in nation according to Forbes I believe) plus, the social aspect of ASU is top notch
UofA is more expensive and in a bad area
Cal States are dealing with way too many budget cuts so you’d probably be going for over 4 years (and dont look at extra curricular), but if you were to go to a Cal State, I know Fullerton has a great program
Michigan State is pretty cool but pricey
Oregon is even better but it really just comes down to if you can afford it and is the debt worth it
and no idea about George Mason

Read this: <a href=“The Default Major: Skating Through B-School - The New York Times”>The Default Major: Skating Through B-School - The New York Times;

ASU, UA, Michigan State, and Oregon are all out of state. Can you afford that/are your parents willing to pay the extra versus a CSU?

You have a good chance at most of these schools. I’m not familiar with George Mason, but I think out of all the others Cal Poly SLO and maybe Oregon will be the hardest.

You should get into George Mason, although another good Virginia school for Business is James Madison University

im in ca, so ill apply to csu’s, i already have a scholarship froma foundation that covers 1/3, but since i just live with my mom, and the fact that she is a teacher( and we do not get child support), i may get some aid

also id like to be in marketing
i took a practice sat and got 1930, so when i take the real one again ill be expecting higher, thanks

the way i got those schools is from this sites college search,
i want to go to a school that possibly has d1 sports, also that has a marketing/business major

I think you get into George Mason. Also the 1880 is a good SAT score though. I hope you do well on the retake. Have you tried interning for a business?

does anyone know other schools,
also ill take the nov1 sat

Ohio St - Slight Reach
Miami of Ohio - Slight Reach

any other possibilities

As long as your looking at oos publics look at Indiana University at Bloomington. The kelley school of business is great and it’s a D1 school.

my gpa is what is killing me though, only a 3.1, ugh
