Hi guys!
I am a incoming senior in high school. I have a 3.08 GPA and a 1650 SAT score. My dream school is Umass Amherst. I know it's kind of a stretch to even apply, what is it worth a chance? I really got my act together junior year and my grades were significantly better. I took AP US History and scored a 3 on the test. I am taking a strong course load senior year. I am a Massachusetts resident. I have strong leadership involvements, as I am Class Secretary and High School Representative of my Church Youth Group. I am volunteered at my community hospital for the past 4 years and do Varsity Track. I plan on applying to my colleges undecided. What other schools should I consider (I am only looking in the New England area)? Please give me your feedback. Thanks :)

You got a good SAT score! I know you have been working hard to improve your GPA, so keep at it. Improve your GPA as much as you can in your senior year. Also, I’m thinking about going to UMass Amherst for my first choice!
