<p>I’m assuming I’m not getting much aid directly from Clemson. I’m out of state and most of the scholarships are geared toward in state students. The price would change to $17000 the second year and all preceding years because I would move in with my uncle so I could establish residency.
This would make Clemson cheaper than Cornell, but it looks like Cornell will be the cheapest for the first year. </p>

<p>Are you 100% sure on this? Some schools do not allow residency to be established while enrolled (example Illinois) and does this mean you have to LIVE WITH your uncle or will being in the dorms count? I would quadruple check. I’d probably go to Cornell unless you get a 100% guarantee you can establish residency.</p>
<p>In South Carolina I think the hardest part for a student who wanted to become a resident for tuition purpowes would be to be considered to be independent. I think that “The residence and domicile of a dependent minor shall be presumed to be that of the parent of such dependent minor.”</p>
