Alright, so I'm a junior in high school in North Carolina right now so it's fast approaching crunch time for college. Regarding my GPA, I know it's low, but my freshman year is weighing me down so badly, and I'm hoping that colleges see through this, because I really bounced back after that year. I heard certain colleges ignore freshman year like the UC schools, Michigan, Princeton etc.

Colleges I want to apply to (I know it's a lot, will narrow down later): Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Washington at St. Louis, UC Berkeley, UNC Chapel Hill, Georgia Tech, Case Western, Michigan at Ann Arbor, NC State, Boston University, UConn, Ohio State.

School Type: Charter (so public?) **The school I go to, Raleigh Charter, is a very academically challenging school compared to public schools, and does not offer classes lower than Honors level. I'm not using this as an excuse for my low grades freshman year, but just pointing it out.
