Hey guys, I’m doing a rough 4 year plan to try and live by, I know it’ll change, btw i am aiming to kind of do a pre-med undergraduate type of thing in college:
9th grade:
Biology PreAP
10th grade:
Chemistry PreAP
Here is the trouble:
11th grade:
AP Physics, AP Biology, or AP Chemistry
12th grade:
AP Physics, AP Biology, or AP Chemistry
For the last two years I don’t know what to choose, I was aiming for AP Biology and then AP Chemistry but I don’t knowif colleges will require me to have AP Physics, what do you think in general? I’m trying to see if I can take AP Physics at the same time as another Science class.
Anyway you can take Biology or Chemistry during the summer so you can fit AP Physics in your schedule? Both son’s took regular Chem and Bio during summer school which allowed them to take AP Bio Sophomore year, AP Chemistry Junior year and AP Physics Senior year. They also fit AP Environmental somewhere in their schedule.
If you haven’t started high school yet find our whether you can double up on science classes and take bio and chem as a freshman.
If you’re a freshman, find out whether you can take chem and AP Physics at the same time.
If you’re a sophomore, take AP Chem as a junior and AP Physics 1 as a senior.
AP Chem for 11th and AP Bio is fine. If you are doing pre-med, I think you have to take two semesters of physics, but they are mostly non-calc based physics classes.
