PLEASE HELP: Did not self-report AP Scores

About 2 nights ago, I completely freaked out after discovering that not-self reporting AP scores might do me harm in the admissions process. I have taken AP world (3), APUSH (4), and AP Language (3). (not the best AP exam taker :-SS ).

However, what I thought was more important is that I want colleges to know that I plan to take more AP tests this year (Government, Environmental Science, Lit, BC Calculus, Psychology, Micro-economics). So I emailed all the colleges I have applied to about this self-report issue. I self-reported all my scores & the ones I plan to take. I got things fixed with Emory and Georgia Tech...

I'm still waiting for responses from Carnegie Mellon, UPenn, Fordham, Cornell, NYU, Boston College, and more. What's worrisome, however, is that a lot of these schools' admissions offices are CLOSED until January 5th, which is past the RD deadline.

Do you think they will email me back after the office opens and allow me an application update? Please someone help!! I'm still in that freaking out stage.

There is not a set due date for AP scores. You should only send them once you find out you have been accepted by the school. Colleges typically use them for placement and only want them after they accept you to find out which classes you should take

@satxcollegekid‌ OP is talking about self-reporting, not sending AP scores. But yes, you’re correct.

OP, first off, deep breath. It’s okay - they will accept updates pretty much any time before decision come out in late March. Make sure that they don’t have a specific format they want you to submit updates through (Harvard wants you to complete an online form, for example, rather than emailing). Since you’ve already emailed, just wait until they get back in the office, and they should get back to you that day or later in the week. You’re fine. Good luck.

@LAMuniv where do I find Harvard’s online form? I just made the same mistake :’(
