<p>Cal was a front runner for me until I went DEEEEEEP into the degree programs. Peace and Conflict Studies sounded awesome, but the more I looked into it, the more it sounded like a Liberal Studies major (and I can’t stand those). Plus, it turns out I accidentally completed ALL the prereqs for a Poli Sci AND a Geography degree @ UCLA, so I’m gonna go for a double major. What can I say? Swayed irrevocably.</p>
<p>@ kernl: haha that’s perfectly understandable. A dual degree is great! I may do the same with philosophy, but I hear philosophy is pretty intense at Cal. Anyway, I’m glad you picked the school that seems to fit your interests perfectly! Poli Sci and Geography - that’s quite the unique combination, but very cool. Anyway, the Bruins will not be 8-clapping all over us!! Although, I must admit, UCLA has some amazing chants. </p>

<p>Congratulations! Yunie and I were having a bet (yes, I’m admitting it)…key word was HAVING…as in, because we both thought you were going to pick Cal…there was no point in having one. </p>
<p>I’m really glad that you went with your heart. I seriously knew it all along! It’s a total bummer about Spring though, but not to worry, I’m sure you’ll do the best with it! Maybe we can meet up my last semester, if I’m not too busy and running around the country like this semester (which I will be, don’t worry). </p>
<p>I’m glad I could help you a bit in your decision, that’s what I’m here for…and even if we can’t meet up for whatever reason next year, I’m sure we’ll run in sometime in life for you’re bound for great things! Sorry for this being so short but I’m finishing a paper (going on 47 pages) for another research conference next week! Then I’ll be going back home to San Diego and thennn back BACK home with Yunie and the rest of the family! </p>
