PLEASE HELP, EMORY?

Okay. So, i think I’m on the looow end for emory. My GPA is like a 3.6, hopefully 3.75-3.8 by end of first quarter, if I apply ED. My SAT should be like 1450+, I’m not sure. Im not deadset on emory, I want to go to a school with club gymnastics, thats also super good for me. I want to major in business if that helps. Emory’s average GPA is 3.8 unweighted. I wouldn’t recommend applying ED for Emory, mainly because your GPA isn’t quite up to par with the average. Have you taken the SAT yet? I’m not sure if you have, seeing as you’re assuming that “it should be 1450+”. Are you planning on applying to all of the colleges listed above? That would be quite excessive, expensive, and unnecessary. I would suggest narrowing your list down to around 10-15 colleges, as it is already September. I don’t think you would have enough time to pump out quality essays for each and every one of these colleges, especially because many of the privates have supplementary essays. Also, is gymnastics your only extracurricular activity? I’m not sure about all of the colleges, but Berkeley and LA would be reaches for you, especially for business.

I don’t think it’s possible for a GPA to jump .2 in one quarter. I wouldn’t recommend ED.
