Please help evaluate transferring (LAC to University)

Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate some feedback on my chances for transferring after this academic year. My drive behind transferring is to grab onto the opportunities that will be available to me at a large university that simply are not available at my small LAC in CA.

My target schools are

University of Oregon
University of Colorado- Boulder

Northeastern University
University of Virgina
University of Connecticut

College Record:

3.6 GPA
Econ Major

*Semester system
All classes below are one semster

Courses Taken

Seminar 1 (Comparative Literature)
Seminar 2 (Comparative Literature)
French 3
Macro Economics
Micro Economics
English 4
English 5
World History
Communication Inquiry
Creative Writing
Financial Accounting
Business Statistics
Travel Journalism
Japanese 1

Registered Classes for next term-

General Chemistry + Lab
Calculus 1
Development of Economic Theory
Investments

College EC's-

-Freshman Summer Internship- Mid Sized Winery doing marketing consultation and sales
-VP of American Marketing Association on Campus
-Student body representative on school's Finance Committee
-Started a community initiative to market the local town's businesses to students at the college

In addition, I have a strong recommendation from several professors and from the Owner/CEO where I completed my internship.

High School Record-

3.2 weighted GPA
1720 SAT (all 3 sections)

Obviously my high school record/ SAT scores are not a match for most of the schools listed, but I am hoping that the completion of two full years of courses at a college and a strong GPA will show an upward trend in my academic performance.

I would appreciate any chances you could provide based on the information I have given (Reach or Match) or any experience that you have with applying to these schools.

I will be applying to the college of Social Sciences/ Humanities for all of the schools with a planned major of Economics. If you see any glaring weaknesses I would be thrilled if you could point them out.

Thanks alot!
