Hi! First off let me say I am a senior in the midst of college application panic/meltdown season, so please excuse the likely overreaction present in this thread.

So I took the Dec 3 SAT and just got it back today, like everyone else. My score went from a 2140 to a 2230 (yay!) so obviously I want to send it. My question is: should I rush the scores? I am totally flipped out that somehow my scores just won't be sent and will go to waste. My deadlines are everywhere from Jan 1 through the 15th.

Should I rush to some places and not others? I'm just totally panicking because I don't know what to do and I've gotten conflicting advice. Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much! :)

Rushed reports are definitely not necessary. Besides being much more expansive, they are many times even discouraged by colleges because they come in a paper format and are therefore much more difficult to deal with (what most colleges do is simply wait for the normal report, which is automatically sent online a little bit after the rushed report).
Also, keep in mind that the deadlines are for your application materials, not for test scores; most colleges will accept scores even from the January administration!
So, just send your scores asap and rest assured there’s absolutely no need for rushed reports! Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! My friends said the same thing, so that’s what I went with. Your answer was very soothing, incidentally, so thanks for that too! :)
