I'm CLAS, undeclared. I'm just really confused now

I found this USC's General Education Program but I don't understand. Is the general education program just for freshman? Am I supposed to take 6 classes first semester- one for each of those categories? Am I supposed to enroll in classes online? I won't be attending an orientation, but I don't want to get the leftovers.

Don't worry- you will have an advisor to help you. Yes, you do register online but you can't do that until you have met with an advisor. You will most likely have only four classes each semester. You have all four years to complete the GE program.

You really need to attend Orientation because that is where you will meet with an advisor and get all the information you need. If you really can't attend, you need to contact USC and they will help you make arrangements to talk to an advisor. Here's the phone number of Orientation Programs and they can tell you what to do if you cannot attend Orientation.

Basically what they at the orientation was that each freshman needed to take the writing 140 and corresponding social issues/diversity class, one other class related to (potential) major, one foreign language, and one other ge class. All in all, they are expected to take four 4-unit classes. They can also sign up for freshman seminars (all pass/fail) for an additional two units. However, they can take whatever they choose to take. The kids have all of the help they need while registering. If you absolutely cannot attend orientation (and I suggest you try to do so), then call the number posted above and see if you can get them to let you register ASAP as the classes are hard to fit in.
