Please help georgetown or uva

hi, so i got a full ride to georgetown and uva. i'm trying to go to law school after.

if i pick uva i can have a much chill college life because i have enough credits to graduate on minimum class requirements.

if i pick georgetown, it'll be more competitive and i might have a harder time getting A's.

i need your opinions please.

^what major?
i don’t think UVA will be much easier than GTown in most cases.

im not sure what im gonna major in… should i have decided by now?

nope. haha. but do you at least have a leniency? social sciences, humanities, maths and sciences, engineering?
and which school at GTown did you get into? give us more information about your preferences lol.

gtown college,

i want to do anything thats not math or science related lol.

i guess i like literature, philosophy, that kind of stuff.

This is a dead heat in terms of academics. Did you visit? How did you feel about your visits? BOTH will get you to law school if you excel. I do not think one will be easier than the other - other than the fact that you get more credits at UVA. Tough call. How do you feel about living in DC? Major sports? etc.

uva seemed a little more chill and it seemed like i could get a more traditional type of college life. i’m not joining a frat.

georgetown im not sure. i just felt like i was in a city. but i like a smaller school in a way because of the closer interactions.

i feel like since i get more credits at uva i’lll have an easier time because i’ll be taking less classes which means more time to study.

for sports i’m a huge basketball fan, but i dont think i’ll invest too much time going to sports games or anything like that because i’ll be studying lsats and also school work.

i live literally around 30-40 minutes from georgetown, and around 2 hours from uva.

Gtown vs. UVA is a very common choice. They’re academically comparable schools. You’ve got the urban vs. college town dichotomy - for me, it’d be college town all the way. For my 2 Ds, who grew up in a college town, the lure of a quasi-urban environment was what they sought. You’ve also got a northeast vs. Southern cultural climate going on there. But really, go with your gut feeling and you won’t go wrong.

i thought if you use ur credit, u’d more likely just be taking more advanced classes instead, especially since you’re applying to law school.
you would not be simply “sitting out” the classes you get credit for.

i absolutely love georgetown, am going there next year, and can tell you that most people there absolutely love it. however, i can tell from your posts that you enjoy uva more and would be happier there. i’d go to uva since it seems you’d fit there better (plus it’s farther from you now!) good luck!
