Two weeks ago I realized that I have not submitted my financial aid application to Harvard as an ED, I immediately submitted my CSS profile and other required materials to be eligible for financial aid.

But here is the problem Harvard deadline for Early action applicants is in November so I should have submitted them long ago but I did not realize that until two weeks ago because someone that I really trust and knowledgeable told me that you submit you financial aid in February so I did not even read their site.

What should I do now? I sent an email to harvard office like 2 weeks ago but no response. Do you think they may have deferred me so I get the chance to submit my financial aid material as if they accepted me I won't be eligible in anyway for fin aid at harvard. Or do you think that they won't take my financial aid application now into consideration and they deferred me based on my application and not related to my financial aid application?

Here is my understanding. In the early round, you are NOT required to submit financial aid stuff until the regular deadline. I was accepted to several colleges early, said I was applying for aid, and am just now sending it in. They deferred you because of your application. If they needed the financial aid info they would have emailed you and asked for it. The only difference is, if you had sent it by their early deadline, you would’ve gotten an estimated package with your acceptance.

I believe that the admissions office and financial aid office are completely separate (to ensure need blind admissions, partly). I would think you were deferred because of your application. Get your FAFSA and Profile in. Make sure to note that Harvard does IDOC.
