<p>I just recently changed my first name and sent in a request to update my greencard yesterday. Naturally, I registered for the CA under my new name and the section under Citizenship requires me to upload a PDF of my greencard... I don't have the new one yet, and I've heard it can take from 8-9 months to a year. I'm freaking out right now, and it doesn't help that Common App doesn't offer phone support. What should i do?? Should I scan my current greencard with my old name and offer an explanation?</p>
