Please Help Guys!

Hey everyone,
I know this has been posted a million times, but im geting very mixed responses and its confusing the hell out of me.
Now my quesiton is that I am from New York, and plan on applying to colleges on the East Coast ( Brown, Boston Collge, NYU, DUKE, BU, Columbia, Harvard.)
Now while taking the psat i got a 167 which is horrendous i no, but while preparing for the acts, ive been consistently getting 30+. Now my question is, does it matter that i only submit the ACT?

Ive been told colleges dont care, that they do care and will look at me as being a " wimp" for not taking the Sat haha, and that since im on the East coast i should deffinetly take the SAt.

So does it really matter guys?

Submitting the act is fine. I called several colleges and they all said they treat them equally. Especially since there is such a huge difference in yoru scores, just focus on the ACT... 30+ is already great and if you can get it above 32 you will really stand out no matter what

Yes, they are treated equally. There's nothing wimpy about the ACT! (the timing on the test is brutal!) Just make sure you take the writing section if the colleges you are interested so require. Best to do the essay just to be safe in case you are suddenly interested in a school that will only accept the ACT with writing.
