Please Help! Habitat vs Boys' State??

I had planned on doing habitat for humanity for a week with about 8 friends the week after school lets out (late june). However, I just today got notified that I was one of 6 elected from my school for the Virginia Boys' State. I was told it was a big honor, and that 99% of the time students choose to go if theyre chosen. There is no applying for a Boys State oportunity in my state, people are only nominated. I hadnt even heard of it until this morning, do you think it would be very beneficial to my college app, which is a tad lacking in EC/Awards. I dont know enough about it to know if its prestigious or not, and if it would be viewed the same for VA colleges as ones from other states, since its a state by state program. Or would habitat be just as effective, (and I would be going with my friends). I only have one day to decide if I can attend or not, please help!

PLEASE can anyone help me out? I have to make my decision by today because they forgot to tell us about it

Boys State is considered prestigious, as it is well-known nationally (even though it is run on a state-by-state basis). Perhaps its most famous participant was an Arkansas teen named William Jefferson Clinton.

Because the program is selective and limited to a certain number of participants in each state, it might attract more attention on your application – particularly if you are elected to some position during the program – than would a week working for Habitat for Humanity.
