Please help! How do you find a way to finance UCB?

I got into Berkeley as a transfer, but my parents won't let me go because it costs too much. My dad says it costs ~47k/year since I will be out of state (from WA state). My dad told me that there is no way student loans would give me close to that much if I will be going for only my last 2 years. And I don't know how to figure out this whole financial student loans stuff. My dad says that my parents' income wouldn't allow any financial aid for me, but I don't know whether that's totally true. The Berkeley status says that my financial aid has not been received, and I'm worried that it may have been incomplete.

My parents said they would buy me a car if I decide to go to the University of Washington, but I have my heart set on Berkeley even if I will have to pay off the student loans myself. I just don't know how student loans work.

What should I do first in order to find a way to go to Berkeley? Is it that impossible? I'm a math major if that matters. I have always planned on joining the Peace Corps after getting my undergrad, but I might become an actuary for a couple of years to pay off the loans. Then I'll go to graduate school after I pay off my loans from working as an actuary (because I hear you make bank from working as an actuary). What do you think of my plan?

But what are the first steps I should take in order to figure this whole finance stuff out? Thanks so much!
