<p>The counselor fills out different information that your teacher is unlikely to have. I suggest one counselor and one teacher. The GC can speak to your overall record in the context of your school/class and the teacher can paint a picture of how you are in the classroom. Make sure you have your USC ID on the letters.</p>
<p>dearsky, you only need one. However, if you feel your GC does not know you personally and a teacher would write a stronger letter, you can ask the teacher for a rec, too. USC adcoms will read whatever you send them. Best of luck.</p>
